My Role & Business Impact
I designed and implemented a custom Salesforce solution to enhance the visibility and usability of Gong Flow data. Gong’s native integration lacked detailed reporting and segmentation capabilities, so I built a scalable system that enabled:
1. Contact Segmentation for Gong Flows
Enabled mass-enrollment of targeted contacts into Gong Flows using Salesforce Campaigns.
Impact: Streamlined outreach processes and improved campaign targeting.
2. Detailed Flow Reporting
Created a custom object and reporting framework to track Gong Flow performance at a granular level.
Impact: Delivered actionable insights to Sales and Marketing teams, improving campaign effectiveness and sales engagement.
3. Dynamic Dashboard Creation
Built a comprehensive dashboard with global filters and KPIs to monitor Gong Flow engagement, opportunity influence, and communication metrics.
Impact: Provided leadership with real-time visibility into sales outreach performance.
Actions Taken
Objective
Enhance Gong Flow data usability in Salesforce for segmentation, automation, and reporting
Custom Object Creation
Created a custom object “Gong Flow” to store synced data from Gong.
Designed relationships with key objects: Contact, Lead, Account, Campaign, Opportunity.
Field Mapping & Data Sync
Mapped Gong fields (e.g., Flow ID, Step Type, Status) to Salesforce.
Added custom fields for process automation and reporting.
Salesforce Flow Automation
Built Flows to:
Create Gong Flow records on enrollment.
Update records as participants progress.
Associate related objects (Campaigns, Meetings, Opportunities).
Handle lead conversion and campaign member status updates.
Campaign Integration
Used Campaigns to segment contacts and enroll them in Gong Flows.
Updated Campaign Member Status based on Gong Flow actions (e.g., reply, meeting booked).
Reporting & Dashboard
Created multiple report types:
Participants by status (e.g., Ready, Sent, Responded)
Opportunity influence and value
Email activity by account manager
Gong Flow status by campaign
Meetings linked to Gong Flows
Built a dynamic dashboard with global filters (Campaign Name) for unified insights.
Final Summary
This project showcases my ability to bridge gaps between third-party tools and Salesforce by designing custom data models, automating processes, and delivering high-impact reporting. The result was a scalable, insightful, and user-friendly system that empowered Sales and Marketing teams to make data-driven decisions.
